Ground School

Part 107 Remote sUAS & Advanced RPAS Ground School Training

The first step towards developing a drone program in a school, or across a school division is to ensure that the pilots have the federally-issued (and required!) certification.

This portion of the course is offered through the training component of Volatus Aerospace (formerly M3 Drone Training Zone), through our online Learning Management System. The material is presented through a combination of text, imagery and video.

This course will provide learning and assessment for the following subject modules:

  1. Regulations

  2. Airspace Classification and Operating Requirements

  3. Weather

  4. Loading and Performance

  5. Operations

Each module is complete with a modular quiz. A “Final Practice Exam” is also included to help prepare participants for the federal exam.

Added Bonus: Introduction to Drone Industry Opportunities course included!

We have included an extra short course called Introduction to Drone Industry Opportunities to help teachers understand what is happening in the drone industry across the many niches. There are literally thousands of work opportunities across dozens of market sectors, including Real Estate, Construction, Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Transportation and Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, and much more.

This short course will help enlighten teachers as to these opportunities so they can speak to them as future work opportunities, to make direct curricular connections to innovative work that is taking place right now! This is all included in the Part 107 Ground School program!
