Youth STEM Programs Throughout The Summer!
Youth Drone Camps (YDC) by Volatus Aerospace are an engaging and educational summer program for your students and youth. The program is designed for students aged 8-11 and 12-17 (however, we have program adaptations that enable us to run this program for ages 17+ as well!) and is held in communities all across Canada and the United States. We offer a range of exciting and educational activities involving drone technology, including piloting, photography and videography, drone racing, and coding with drones. Our programs also introduces students to the many career opportunities available in the drone industry.
Solving Real-World Problems with Drone Tech
One of the highlights of YDC is our "Engineering Challenge." This challenge encourages students to design and test a solution to a real-world problem: moving goods from Point A to Point B using a drone in the most efficient way possible. This is a problem that faces many remote and isolated communities, and drone technology is recognized as one of the best opportunities for solving logistical issues associated with transporting goods to these communities throughout the year. The Engineering Challenge not only teaches important physics concepts such as center of gravity and forces, but also helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Need to Service a Larger Group? No Problem!
Our program can be customized to fit your needs and can run over 2 days for up to 48 students, 3 days for up to 72 students, or 5 days for up to 96 students. It is run entirely indoors, therefore, you must be able to provide a workable space, such as a gym or multi-purpose room.
